We are a
black belt school with a Black Belt Club

There is a motto in Kuk Sool Won™ that “a black belt is a white belt that never gave up”.  We support our students to achieve their black belts. This requires patience, perseverance and practice. But the learning doesn't end when you get to black belt. With 9 degrees of black belt, Kuk Sool provides a lifetime system of learning.

At our Pukekohe and Onewhero schools we have a black belt club for students above yellow belt. When you are serious about getting your black belt, you want to train more often. Our BBC students attend more classes, have access to weapons training sooner, they help in classes and are allowed to join our national black belt testings. 

Recently two of our BBC students joined a national testing. This is what they had to say:

"Garth and I have really earned our next grades to Brown Stripe and Red Belt with the 2 hour+ grading on Saturday. And now we know upfront and in our faces what to expect as we progress to the next step in our Kuk Sool Won journeys. Great for women

Kuk Sool Won™ is an ideal martial art for women and girls.

It provides a safe environment to:
  • Get fit and improve strength and flexibility
  • Improve self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop self-defence skills and techniques
  • Manage stress and anger

By learning in a gradual and structured way, women and girls are encouraged to push themselves while being supported to succeed.

We have more women than men currently training in our Pukekohe and Onewhero schools. Come and join them to see what it's all about.

Last year we ran women’s self defense training classes. We plan to run women self defense training workshops. These will mainly be run on weekends. Watch our facebook page for dates.
